Modification Inspections (MIs)

  • Confirms structural changes are installed in accordance with approved engineering drawings and industry standards

  • Documents any deviations from specification in real time so corrections can be made before project closeout

  • Covers members, mounts, connections, and all associated hardware installed during the modification

  • Provides tower owners and carriers with documented assurance that modification work was completed correctly

Modification Inspections verify that structural changes to a tower are being installed in accordance with approved engineering drawings and applicable industry standards. Our inspectors are on-site during or immediately following modification work to confirm that members, mounts, connections, and hardware meet specification. Any deviations are documented and communicated promptly so they can be corrected before the project closes out.

An MI is not just a quality control step — it’s a safeguard for long-term structural integrity. Improperly installed modifications can create hidden vulnerabilities that go unnoticed until they become serious failures. Our detailed inspection reports give tower owners and carriers the assurance that the work was done right.
